Sketching on Toned Paper w/Watercolor & Inks

In this 3 hour outdoor workshop, after a brief intro and a quick exercise in color on non white paper, participants will explore implementing the use of a limited palette watercolor on toned for our first sketch. After a brief mid-workshop critique, we will again concentrate on watercolor on toned paper and possibly add black, toned, or white ink to the sketch.

This workshop will cover choosing and editing a view for our sketch, basic techniques of both ….. and strategies for balancing visual richness with simplicity in our finished sketches.

LOCATION: We will gather at the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, 1012 N. Dearborn Chicago, IL, and walk to our nearby sketching location.
